Parent & Tot Drop-In, Assistant for Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Put your love of young children, and your talent for creating fun activities to good use on Thursday mornings, from now through April. Collaborate with Bertie's Place Parent-Tot Drop-In organizers to offer craft, play, special event or other fun activities for babies, toddlers and tots. If you are friendly and responsible, this is a great volunteer opportunity in a casual drop-in program held at Albert McCormick Community Centre, Waterloo.

Host / Hostess Volunteers for 55+ Drop-In, Thursday Afternoons

Enjoy meeting, greeting and assisting participants in this weekly drop-in program for older adults, held at the Brick Brewery, Waterloo. Host / hostess volunteers oversee participant sign-in, coffee service and help to maintain a neat programming space, as well as providing information to drop-in participants. A twice-monthly commitment, from now till June, is preferred. If you are a sociable and friendly older adult, you may enjoy this twice-monthly volunteer opportunity.

Outgoing, older adults with a flair for presentations will enjoy the Master of Ceremonies role, once a month, for Friday Flicks. MCs can also help to plan future Friday Flicks presentations (e.g. suggest and help arrange for guest presenters, etc.) for more information call 519-888-6488.
    
 
Community Support Connections
Community Support Connections who run Meals on Wheels and other programs to allow people to live at home with independence and dignity is looking for volunteers.
They are looking for Friendly Visiting Volunteers to visit with people in the K-W area once a week for 2-3 hours each visit usually in the clients home.
The are looking for men and women, some smokers and people who speak languages other than English including Persian, German, Polish, Yugoslavian, Portuguese, Romanian, Croatian, Serbian and Spanish.
